Relief Printing Class

Give Pablo Picasso credit for the original of the design above that was carved out of a piece of what was at one time THE material to create relief prints: Gray Battleship Linoleum.  It is much easier for novices now as the material that the design is carved into is soft and easy to carve.

Gather your ideas and preliminary or final ideas to create prints from an EZ-cut vinyl rectangle just slightly smaller than 4 inches by 6 inches in size.  Your design can be vertical or horizontal, or diagonal if you wish. At Gallery by the Lake’s Saturday Class on April 20, 2024, from 9:30 to 12:30 we will create both a monoprint (monotype) and a relief print of your own marvelous design.  Black and white relief prints are quite striking and color is fun to do.  Come and join us in Room #225 at 809 Kirby Street ( back door parking lot entrance.) at Central School Arts and Humanities Center. Cost is $40.00, Gallery members cost is $35.00.  Bring your designs and an apron. Instructor is Judy Newman.
