To receive an application or more information about membership, you can contact us through the Contacts page on our website, by email at gallerybythelakeswla@gmail.com, or by phone at 337 387-1218.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been keeping very few office hours, so it would be best to contact us through the website or by email.  You may also fill out the online application below for full membership and we will follow up with you to schedule a short review session.

Please read through the full membership requirements before you apply:

As a full member, you will be required to:

  1. Work one day per month (5 hours) in the Gallery’s spaces in Central School (once we are again operating there in late 2022) and/or Historic City Hall and pitch in to keep the spaces neat and in good order.  In the Central School, help keep the space clean as well.

  2. Record your work activities in the journal in the Central School work room (when applicable).

  3. Our Secretary will notify by letter any member who did not work their assigned day at Central School, or arrange for someone else to work in their place, asking them to contact her to see how this situation could be remedied.  If this happens a second time, a letter will be sent stating that the member’s art will be removed from the Gallery walls and will not be rehung until the next changeout and provided that the member has resumed their scheduled duty day in the meantime.

  4. If you, as a member, have not performed your duties as explained above, then your membership will be terminated, and you will be expected to return your keys and pick up your art.  Art not picked up by a terminated member will become a part of the Gallery’s art inventory.

  5. Participate in preparing the gallery spaces for show openings, help provide refreshments and be present for each show opening.

  6. Pay your yearly dues every 12 months within 30 days of the annual date you joined or incur a $25.00 per month late fee in addition to the annual dues.
